What we do and what we stand on. Know this, and you can tell anyone what KAF is.
To use the creative arts to teach business methods, entrepreneurial thinking, and life skills through hands-on programs, arts-based events, and community service.
The three things we do
Classes and workshops that turn a gift into a working skill. Creatives with a portfolio get sent on real, paid jobs.
Music, fashion, photography, and creative culture that bring the community together.
Showing up for Gainesville families, like our free back-to-school event.
The path: learn, earn, lead
Most programs stop after exposing someone to a craft. KAF runs the full path.
Anyone who comes to a KAF class, workshop, or event. No application.
Creatives screened on their portfolio and work history, then sent on paid client jobs.
Connectors and organizers who represent KAF, bring partners in, and help run events. That's you.
What we stand on
Offering knowledge and insight. It builds trust.
Purpose building and purpose seeking. It builds direction.
Recreation and connection. It builds the people and the crowd around the work.
Your role: three ways to show up
Show up at events and info tables, and tell people what KAF is. Everyone starts here.
Connect KAF with schools, clubs, venues, and businesses.
Help plan and run KAF events, or pitch one of your own.
